About Bethany Wesleyan Church

As a congregation within the Wesleyan denomination, Bethany Wesleyan Church (BWC) believes in the Bible, doing good, serving others, and praying as a community. BCW has grown steadily over the years and now includes four campuses in eastern Pennsylvania within Carbon and Northampton Counties: Cherryville, Jim Thorpe, Lehighton, and Palmerton.

Bertolini Comfort is Unmatched

“In 2013, Bethany Wesleyan Church was in the process of building a 1,200-seat state-of-the-art ministry center in Cherryville, PA,” said Ken Everett, Business Administrator at Bethany Wesleyan Church. “After trying various types of chairs for the new worship area, our staff was very impressed with the Bertolini chairs. The quality and comfort were quite evident the moment we sat on the Bertolini Impressions chair with its contoured seat, back support, and lumbar support.”

With a focus on religion that is relevant to everyday lives, Bethany Wesleyan understands the importance of providing a welcoming environment for everyone. “We chose Chaises Bertolini Impressions because they are so comfortable,” said Ken, “which is important for everyone, and especially for older people.”

“Since 2013, Bethany Wesleyan Church has not only purchased chairs for the main Cherryville location, but also for three additional church campuses we have launched — one in Lehighton, Palmerton, and Jim Thorpe. Each church was furnished with Bertolini Impressions chairs. We highly recommend the Bertolini chairs for their quality, comfort, and durability.”

Lightweight Chairs Make Setup Easier

Another advantage of Bertolini Impressions Chairs is that they’re lighter than chairs with a plywood seat base. The flexible plastic seat base that’s under the upholstery and foam is not only more comfortable than an unyielding plywood seat base, but it is also lighter weight.

“These chairs are six pounds lighter than other chairs, and that makes a difference to us,” Ken said. “We move our chairs around a lot. We have areas that seat up to 1,200 people, but this includes our three basketball and volleyball courts. We move all the chairs out and stack them up for sports. Eight chairs fit on a dolly, which is easy to move around. A little child can push around a stack of chairs.”

BWC sets up the chairs in different configurations for Sunday services, musical performances, and community events. “These chairs hold up really well. They’re very high quality,” said Ken. “We have four colors of chairs, all in the 22-inch width. The wider width was chosen for a specific reason. This size gives people more space. Churches in cities can get away with smaller chairs and more tightly packed congregations. But in the country, that’s not the case.”

“When choosing chairs, comfort was a top priority. Since we have to move our chairs so often, we also liked how easy Bertolini chairs were to move around.”

Fabriqué aux Etats-Unis

The final reason BWC chose Bertolini Church Chairs is because they support American manufacturing. The state of Pennsylvania is one of the most important manufacturing hubs in the nation, boasting companies like Hershey’s, Bethlehem Steel, Crayola, and Mack Trucks.

“Made in America is important to us,” said Ken, who has been part of the BWC congregation for 50 years and on staff for over 20 years. “We chose Bertolini for the comfort, the quality, their lighter weight, and the fact that they’re built in the USA.”

The Bertolini Impressions Chairs are well-liked by the congregation and add to the sense of comfort and community at BWC.
